Now that I have my Live rock the way I want it and my water parimeters are stable I want to add some fish. I have a 46 gal (with 80 lbs LR and 60 lbs LS) so I can't add everything I want so I wanted to see what you guys suggest. Its going to be a reef take and I want the fish to be invert safe and peaceful. Also take into consideration that I dont have a top so if a fish wants to jump out it can. I know that I want 2 Percula Clownfish and a Mandarin Dragonet. I am also considering:
  • 1 Blue Hippo Tang
  • 1 Angelfish (yellowfin pygmy or coral beauty)
  • 1 Lawnmower blenny (will this jump out of the tank?)
  • 1 0r 2 Blue reef chromis
1 Engineer Goby or a Jawfish
    1 Red spotted hawkfish
1 wrasse with good color that would be reef safe
Out of this list what would you suggest? Thanks

Your tank is not "ideally" big enough for a tang. A lot of sites will advertise a "small" or "medium" tang as able to be kept in a 46 gallon, but they will outgrow your tank. Other than that, your list looks pretty good. Personally, I would pick just one out of these three: Jawfish, lawnmower blenny, and engineer goby. I've heard stories of jawfish that have dug under a rock and never been seen again, so I would never get one. Also, I love the red spotted hawkfish. :) One of my favorites! I think the coral beauty is the most hardy of the dwarf angels you listed, and that would be my choice. My favorite wrasse, which is both very colorful and reef safe, is the mystery wrasse. And he doesn't need a deep sandbed like most of the others. Be warned, he's not cheap though and doesn't ship well.

Be careful for the Mandarin, they really require alot of lr 100lbs, aged tank no less tha 1yr and will generally only eat pods unless you can ween them to eat other things as well.
