I have currently setup and cycled a 75g wave front tank. I have used 40lbs of LS and 40lbs of another non LS product. Everything has dropped back down to 0 (NitrIte/NitrAte) this is a FISH ONLY tank, no corals no live rocks only live sand. All custom made artificial reef inserts. Looking for a nice quite tank with good fish.
My Equipment :
Marineland 75gallon wave front tank and stank
Nova Extreme HO Aquarium Lighting Fixture w/ Lunar Lights (3 white lights, one blue light)
Penguin 400 Bio-wheel Filter
2-Visi-Therm Stealth 200W Heater's
Seaclone Protein Skimmer 150
15W Gamma UV Sterilizer w/ Slow Overturn
Any opinions or suggestions appreciated

This is always very hard to answer imo. I like weird stuff like boxfish and puffers (they are weird to me) I have a few others for nostalgic reasons, but it just depends on what you like. My fiance' thinks my fish are "ok", but would like to see more color...color does nothing for me. Clowns stay small have good color and move weird so I like them. There might be some butterflies that could be housed in a 75...blennies, cardinals, gobies, toby puffers...you have alot of options, just steer away from fish that get over the 5 to 6" range imo, and anything like a tang that really likes to move. This is jmho and what I would do...not necessarily advice that you or others would agree with. Whatever you choose Good Luck and Enjoy

IMO,if you want color and peace in the tank i would suggest:
royal gramma
flame hawkfish(definatly)
any type of cardnials
sixline Wrasse......
these are just a couple that i think fit nice together in a 75 gal. or smaller.Maybe some percs too,but put them in last.I don't think you should put them all in at once either, space it out and QT.Happy fishing!

Im also thinking of a cleaning crew, what would be the most adequite choice of inverts to clean house. Those are all great fish suggestions and will take them into consideration when purchasing my first

Clean up crews are pretty easy, and I don't think there is really any science to it. One thing I would suggest...if you are thinking snails or hermits...pick one or the other. The snails quickly become snacks for the hermits in a pinch. Nassarius and turbo snails are great! Sally lightfoots are really cool...they look neat and go all over. Serpent or bristle stars are good. Emerald crabs, arrow crabs, decorator crabs. An assortment of decorative shrimp. I have all of these in one of my tanks, and the only thing I would take out are the hermits...well one in particular, he's just trouble...tried to eat my decorator the other day. It will look good in my sump
. Oh and as far as the science part, each critter does a different job. You can break them down into two groups. For ease of converstation you have your meat eaters and your plant eaters, and a few that do both. Research, and find out what does what. Get some, and if you find you have an algae problem or too much uneaten food...get more.

How do you not want a saltwater fish tank with color? Your g/f has better taste than you lol j/k
I love my tangs. Very active and lots of color. Blonde Naso,Blue Hippo,Power Blue. And with them 2 Nemo clowns. I'm fish only so probably going with a puffer, angel, and butterfly to finish stocking my 80... In anyones opinion... Is this too crowded? Naso 6" long Powerder Blue 4" long Blue Hippo 4" Long Med clowns.

hey shortbusldtang.....The Naso tang is not happy in your tank and the other tangs will eventually be unhappy as well.

Hmmm, he has plenty of room to swim around... Seems to be fine. Now you are worrying me lol I'm going to be putting them all on a diet to make sure they don't grow out of it too fast lol

Maybe i shoulda started out smaller.... But for the powder and the hippo ich was a huge concern and naturally the bigger they are the more hardy they will be. Hmm stuck now. Hope they don't grow up to fast.

Lol, it's not that I don't want color per se, but it is not a deciding factor for me. Have you ever had a boxfish...they are the coolest
, but they don't like "friends". My 125 has three different boxfish, and there will be no other additions to this tank. I have some other tanks with more variety, but my fav is the cow tank
.

is that sequence compatible with each other if i was to get one of each ?
NO...BRAKES>>>Triggers and lions are not compatible. The lions long flowing fins and spines are too tempting for the trigger, and (the lion) would become a tormented toy, and eventually food for the trigger. (90 percent of the time...I am sure some have had these two together with success...luck of the draw).

for that size tank I would add
Dwarf lion fish
Gold stripe maroon clown
Flame angel or coral beauty
Hawaii Blue spot puffer *not safe with crabs or shrimp*
Pearl scale butterfly
Pink spot shrimp goby
Inverts
Fire shrimp
cleaner shrimp
hermit crabs
turbo snails
Chocolate chip starfish
Red General starfish
Do not add the chocolate chip or red general if you are going to have shrimp, as the get larger they may eat the shrimp.
