Help me set up my fuge

Hey guys i am in the process of trying to get a fuge set up outside of my tank and plumb it into my sump. I dont have enough room with my skimmer heater carbon and return pump for an internal fuge and HOB is out of the question.
1.Will something like a Rio mini sun led clip fixture be sufficient lighting for algae and pod growth? Space is pretty limited so i had to go with something tiny.
2.If i could get away with something like this would a moonlight/daylight combo be better then a daylight/blue combo for the light?
3. Should i try for something bigger then the 3 gallon nano tank i have already?
4.I was thinking about using 2 rio 180's or something to get water in and then back out, is there a better way to do this?
any help is appreciated!!!

A solution to consider. Elevate the refugium and put a small bulkhead 1" from the top. pvc pipe over to the sump. Pump water from the sump to refugium then let it flow back thro the bulkhead/pvc drain you made. Mini sunlight should be OK for the 3g refugium.

Hey thanks for the response,
i have a few quick questions as i think that's the way im going to go with it. How much higher should the fuge be from the sump? And also what size hole should be drilled for the bulkhead?
