I have had this tiny bubbletip since tuesday .he hasn't moved from the same rock. the day before yesterday he really locked in his foot in a crack in the rock. I spot feed him a piece of krill and he ate it really fast. But today he has shrivled up and has some funky grey stuff coming out of the mouth. it was contracting and expanding over and over.Now it is all balled up on it self. the grey stuff is gone , I thing the pepermint shrimp cleaned it away. Is it just going to the bathroom? or is it going into its death throws? My wife is totally freaking out about this is it normal?

Your water parameters seem to be in a good range. I'm still learning about the anemone's, I've heard it's normal for it to be scrunched up. My anemone poops brownish -- the same color of the food I fed it. That Grey thing -- was it stringy - if yes, it was pooping! My anemone is shrivel up like its dying, the next day it would be expanded.
Have you tried to fed it again? Mine will look shriveled and when it smells food, the tentacles will slowly come up.
I've heard that anemone's can be really sensitive and may need some time adjusting to a new environment.
Maybe someone else can shed some light on this matter.

Did we determine that this was a little BTA or majano or what, I don't remember. However the fact that your peppermint shrimp didn't eat it yet says that there is hope that it is at least on an aiptasia. The matter coming from the anemone's "mouth" could be one of two things, either the waste from having eaten the krill or zooxanthellae. If waste , no problem, if zooxanthellae you will know very soon, cause it will either turn white and die or just meltdown. Watch to see if the color fades withing 24 hours.
Tell the wife to calm down, cause I think this is just waste expelling. Also you might want to bring that specific gravity up to 1.025 depending on what else you keep in the tank. But that's just my personal preference.

It is a BTA . it has since stopped expeling the funky stuff. It is still shrivled up and is doing a crazy hula dance now . just swaying around in the curent. it has moved to a deeper crack in the same rock. I asked at a LFS (not the one I bought it from) about it. and the said it might just be stressed out that the other store is not very good at QT new arivals.

I will try to bring up the SG . What would be the best way to do this slowely? maybe mix up say a 1/4 of salt in a gallon of top of each day? untill its come up.

Just mix a gallon of saltwater to 1.025 and use that as your top off water. Check everyday until the main is 1.025.

Well I got a little crazy and moved my outlets from my filter around a bit and turned the outlets on my closed loop to point more across the sand bed and it seams to like it a lot better its all puffy and swaying in the curent.
