Ok well my brain coral (now in the 20g) is getting eaten or something. One side is torn/eaten and all red and fleshy, the other side is good and seems to be moving.(pulsing?)
Here's what it's in:
-It's a Green Open Brain Coral
-It's in a 20g High
-Lights are T-5 Nova Extreme's
-Stocklist is some corals and two shrimp(shrimp sometimes crawl over the corals)
What can I do to get rid of the problem? Can I frag the brain to save the other half?

if it is rescinding. i'd definitely try cutting it and discard the unhealthy tissues. make sure u dont do it inside ur tank. afterward, do a disinfectant dip for 30 secs.

Ok what should I use for the disinfect dip? I'm kinda new to the whole coral thing. Never took the plunge with my 125g.

you are going to need a tile saw with the thinnest blade you can find.(for the least amount of tissue damage possible).Brains have a hard skeleton underneath so i think the saw is your only option. You could use a dremel but that would be much messier and the coral would have a smaller chance of survivol.

Crap this stinks severly. I don't have a tile saw at my mom's and not sure about at my dad's. Will this thing that's killing my brain kill my mushroom's and zoos too? Would it hurt future corals?
I think I may add my 2 chromises and my CB angel tomorrow, if they aren't in danger.

Looking at it today, I think it's too late. 75% gone. Is it going to infect the rest of the tank or my other corals?

its possible it could infect others. take him to frag it, not inside the tank. cut into the healthy tissue. the disinfect solution i used is called reef dip by seachem. i used in the past when my toadstool has an infection. i did the above procedure, and now he is bigger tha ever.

It's a goner. Nothing to frag, all mouth areas are infected. Do I just take it out and throw it away?
What do should I do with the gonner coral? This is making me want to sell my 20g and focus on my 125g with this crap.

Ya I hope so. I threw it out in a sack yesterday. Now my garbage can is going to smell like crap, oh well.
