i have a condi and it was looking great for 3-4 days and when i got home today, just now it caught my eye cause its looking really bad. i tested my tank and the nitrite was at least 5.0, way to high, what could have caused this, and how do i lower it.
p.s. i just did a 30% water change, i used the already mixed salt water u buy from the store

it's possible you may loose your anemone. in my opinion it would be best to give it some time before you purchase another one. definitely look into upgrading your lighting. anemone's aren't the easiest things to keep alive, even the cheap ones :D

u can believe i will wait if i lose him. my nitrites are down to about 2.0 from 5.0 but i wish i knew how that happened in 1 day. i was at work and when i came home bam it was off the charts. my condi looks better now and is fully extended again but my camelback shrimp r crawling on him and feasting by its mouth is this normal and if not how do i stop it? ill be getting better lighting soon.

What is your camel doing? Feasting by the mouth? who's mouth, the mouth of the anemone? It could be robbing it of food or trying to eat waste from the anemone. Personally I'd get that camel shrimp out of there and eat him or take it back to the lfs.
As to the nitrite problem, check all filters and livestock, try to account for every thing. Run some fresh carbon as well.

you can buy carbon at your lfs or online. you wanna go with a reputable brand because some of the cheaper stuff has been known to leach phosphates into your water. black diamond is good and fairly popular, i use kent.
you want to run it in a high flow area, i run carbon in my sump. i don't know what kind of mechanical filtration you are using but you should be able to use it in conjunction with whatever you have, (hang on, canister, etc.).
