i bought three scarlet hermit crabs from my local fish shop about two weeks ago. The first few days they seemed to move around alot and i would see them walking around. But yesterday i found what i thought was a shedding so i took it out to look at it and it had the tail thing on there too and im pretty sure its his body. then i found his shell a little ways away empty. One of the hermits hasnt been moving, hes jsut kindof in a frozen position like hes walking, but if something scares it it will curl back up. (maybe its getting ready to shed?) The third hermit crab i havnt seen in about a week, probably in the rockwork somewhere, but i would like to know why my hermits arnt moving. any ideas? thanks

a few stats on the tank:
80 degrees
1.23 salt
pH and kH are fine
I add part A and part B of Kents calcium to the tank every day
29 gallon tank

This is not a "stat". This is one of those statements that either says a lot, or says nothing at all. Let's try to find out which.
"pH and kH are fine"...describe fine.
"You add part A and part B" Do you know what they are, why you are adding them, how much you are adding and do you test your Calcium and Alk? If so, please post numbers.
And, do you have spare shells for them to move into?
