Hi:
its only on the fin? Is there only one or a few. Is it really pink or is it picking of the reflection from the fishes body? So describe the wart?
Is it lumpy, smooth, cauliflower-like, please describe it.
This could be lymphocystis, or even a healing wound but its hard to say.
The more info you provide the more educated a guess we can make. Tell us about the tank, tankmates, water paramters, how long the fish has been in the tank etc.

thanks, its only one lump, about 1 cm. in diameter. I don't think its pink from the body color, and its like cauliflower. All parameters are good, in a 250, and it has been in the tank for about half a year and is eating great, and is fat. Tankmates are blue line trigger, niger trigger, clown trigger, panther grouper, chainlink and snowflake eels. Please post asap.

Since its appears to be one wart, and not any more. Since you also describe the look of a cauliflower, i would say to you that your fish has lymphocystis. This has a vriral etiology and is equivalent to warts on humans. Unslightly, but not directly harmful.
My guess is looking at your fish list that this is a stress related problem, harassment from a tankmate, or a wound healing from a bite. But it does sound like lympho.
So what to do.
Actually i would try to ensure you have better water quality, try to feed a better diet, enriching their foods w/ nutritional boosters like Selcon /Zoecon, etc, and trying to reduce the stress in the tank.
Any idea what your water paramters are?
