help needed????

i left for work yesterday with 2 true perculas,1 yellow tang,1 sebae clown and a tomato clown with about 50 lbs of live rock--i have a cleaner shrimp also---this afternoon my mom calls and says that i only have 1 true percula,the other is gone and she has looked everywhere---i came home and moved my rock to no avail,and my ammonia is about .25 and my nitrates are about 20 with my trite at 0----whats up here guys???all help appreciated,im a little stumped <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Well, I guess my only suggestion is to find that clown! If he's dead in your tank, that's probably where your ammonia is from. If you really can't find him, I would start a water change, and get some carbon running if you can.

well,all the rock came out but no fish---the same thing happened about 3 weeks ago with a goby--i put it in and havent saw it since about 3 days later--whats up???my levels just rose for the first time today since i cycled my tank--about 4 months old now---do i have a mantis u think??but have never heard any noise at all <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

Well, I haven't really heard much of clownfish jumping, but is your top open? If so I would check the floor and under the stand too. If you have scavengers, he could be mostly eaten by now. I would still do a good water change for the sake of your other livestock.

top is closed off---i have no idea what is going on---i have about 6 snails and a couple of conchs with my cleaner shrimp and a fairly new anemone---all my fish are intact this morning,but i have no idea what is going on---any more ideas??? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

no holes to go into that i can see--and all my fish are very small,so i understand that in future i will need to do something about number of fish,but that is why i have a 75 gallon cycling as we speak--so as not to get into a debate about tank size,i appreciate all the info i have received but im really still puzzled about the loss of my fish--i was told maybe my anemone ate it???any truth to the possibility???
