Help NOW Please with Video Card Install

Attempting to install and new video card in my home build pc. Went in fine, but now all I hear is a loud screeching noise when I turn on the pc, and no video at all.
It is physically installed correctly....what happened!??

try putting it in again... i haven't ever installed a video card, but i know my comp made all sorts of funny noise when my boyfriend didn't get the RAM in all the way...

What is the visual difference between PCI-E and AGP cards...trying to figure out if I got the right one or what....

I would take the card out and turn the computer on. Just to make sure there is no screeching noice. Then reinstall the card and make sure it is fully seated. Check the cables and power cords to make sure they are not touching any of your fans or other cards in your comp. Then restart it and see what happens. But then you proabably can't see this anyway so it doesn't matter what I write here.

I have a laptop, so I can see it. I already tried all that and I"m still get the screeching noise and no video.
