Help on selection

Hello all, I am kind of new to the forum. I have cycled my tank and taking my time in selection of fish. Me levels are where they should be (thanks to you guys helping me) I have visited the LFS to look but want to get the advise from you guys before i buy. I just want to make sure they are not just trying to sell items.

I have a 60G tank with one molly, two blue leg hermit crabs (Small) two turbo snails, small piece of halo coral. I have around 40 pounds of live rock and 20 pounds of base. Give or take a few pounds. Live sand, It has been running for about 6 weeks.

LFS told me to do : A yellow tang, 4 clowns. He said do the clowns in pairs of two every other week to check levels then do the tang last. I have done some reading on here and some say do not put a tang in anything less than a 90g. Others say they have them in a 55 and have no issues. so i am up in the air.

In my mind i would like to do a few clown fish (Maybe the black ones or the standard), a star fish of some sort (LFS said this was a bad idea till the tank has been set up for months) Then one bright bigger fish.

I like the look of the corals so anything you guys can recommend that will not mess to much with those.

Thanks for all the help!

One yellow tang shouldn't hurt.

I wouldn't put more than two clownfish in the same small tank and definitely make sure they are the same species.

For easy low light requirement corals, mushrooms, Xenia, anthellia, zoanthids, palythoa, and other small soft corals.
