HELP!!! please, I dont know what I,m doing.

All my fish were put in at same time, over a month ago. They were a beginer pack fom SWF. Yesterday i saw that my Coral Beauty had white spots(a lot). I put Greenex in tank last night. I heard it was reef safe. i left the skimmer running to cycle it through the tank and get it out quick. All inverts are alive and acounted for and white spots are gone from fish. I ran out today and bought a ten gallon tank, and Coppersafe to set up hospital but things look good now and I would hate to tear down reef to get these fish out if no ick. What do i do?

ok, Coppersafe SUCKS!!! I used it and it killed ALL MY FISH. Basically it FRIED them. Salifert copper tester will not pick up the copper in coppersafe anyway. It's not the right kind of copper to show up on the test.

Many thanks Anthem. couple of ?s for you. LFS only has swing arm hydrometers and the other copper treatment they sell requires a copper test kit which they dont have. If ick comes back for round two, how long have i got to find good meter and how do i do hypothing? and what does one of these meters cost? maybe i can find one in Charlotte. cant get there til weekend.

Just caught my attention as many methods are
thrown out as absolutes...
I am in the same frustrated mood because I
have followed every precaution and the white
spots still pop up.I did not mean it as an attack
but generals statements may increase other's
frustration.
Your advise is very good just not absolute.

woke up this morning,checked tank, spots there again but not quite as bad. this afternoon they are gone again. setting up sick tank but not going to pull fish unless spots get worse. good or bad idea? if i do pull them gonna try hyposalinity. Can fish beat ick in display tank? and if they can is parisite lying in wait eternaly to strike again? i didnt add anything to tank for over a month except a rock of shrooms. dont understand where ick came from. all fish have been in tank over a month.
