Hi all first post for me .
i am cycling my tank with some damsels and some live rock which i have added after a few days and today i have seen a little crab in a shell well this crab live through the cycle??

it is probably a crab that came on your liverock. i would think he would be ok through the cycle. you will find lots of cool stuff coming with your liverock....some are good, some arent. what size tank do you have? what fish are you wanting? this is BY FAR the best bb on the net so keep coming back and dont be afraid to ask questions. later, bo

hi:welcome to the board.the crab won't make it thru the cycle nor will most of the pretty little thing's on the live rock but it will grow again.you really don't want to get real expensive live rock for cyc.for that reason!!base rock is also seeded and not as costly

i have a 37 gal would like a yellow tang, two clowns, maybe a box fish

A tang can NOT be kept in a tank that small.They require at least a 75. They are very active swimmers,they grow too big,and they claim large territories. A tang would stress out in this tank.SORRY.
