In a fully cucled tank you should have readings of:
Ammonia 0.0
pH 8.4 (measure at multiple times in the day, morning and evening. fluctuating pH can be an issue at night and early morning)
Nitrite 0.0
Nitrate> 0.0
In a tank with a refugium to extract Nitrates, or with a deep sand bed you can conceivably also keep Nitrates near 0.0. Otherwise they will slowly climb and water changes will need to be used to control them.

No, your Ammonia was not ok. In a tank with livestock any
reading of Ammonia is very bad.
A reading of Nitrite is also bad, especially for inverts.
Your pH is bordering on low.
Looks like your tank wasn't thoroughly cycled, or you added too many fish too quickly.

I understand trying for zero but isn’t ammonium less then .25ppm and nitrates less then .25ppm a more realistic goal?
