I have a racoon butterfly fish. It has somekind of disease....(maybe its dropsy but i'm not sure). The scales are getting bigger on one side of the body... what kind of medicine should i give?????Please helllpp!!!!

Well.. i just bought it about 2 weeks ago.. and then i put it in the quarantine tank for 3 days. I looks OK so i put it in the main aquarium. About the history of the aquarium... the only sick fish i have ever got in there is a damsel, that got a popeye. And that one, also removed immediately. I checked the water, the ph, ammonia, nitrite, are in good condition. The ph is 8.2, and the rest is 0. About the nitrate... it is slightly high, around probably 2.5. I do water change every week, and i think that's about it. About the fish.... the butterfly fish is still eating a lot, and it is still swimming fine. So.... it is that enough?? By the way.... is maracyn two OK is it OK for other fish?? Bacause now in my hospital tank i have one other fish...Thanks anyway though....
