need more info on the eye or in it? is there any spots anywhere else on it body? Was this the last fish you put in the tank? How long ago was there a new fish or anything else added to your tank?

not tring to highjack, but i was going to start a thread this morning about the same thing.
mine has some spots too. i believe maybe from cruisn threw my lr(branch rock) and maybe scraping against the rocks. i think this, although it may not be correct. he seems to like to squease in tight spots. oh well.
should i let him be or dose with some meds?
in 30 tank with three chormis. using as a qt before moving them into a bigger tank.

last time put fish in was about three months ago....
and the spots are just on the out side of the eyes
and not any on the body.

eyes are very vulnerable. Also a good indication of the health of the fish. If they are cloudy then something is wrong possible a bacterial disease. If they are spots good chance ick then see Beth's thread about hypo. If scratch should heal by its self.

If you never had ick b4 then I would wait to if more spots develop on other parts of its body or other fish. In the mean time you should set up an QT tank that will hold all your fish or several 10 gal tanks like i did. Unless you you have one set up already. There is a thread on how to set up QT tanks that is very informative at the top of this section.

Spots on the eyes are an indication of something wrong. Ich does not attatch to the eyeballs. Check the water quality. The fish may need better nutrition, or maybe something else is wrong. Please post your exact water parameters and what you feed him.
