Help! Power Head

I just added a Power Head to my 30g aquarium. The problem is there was too much air being created by the power head. I closed the air intake. Is this okay? How will the fish get air?

The air intake is optional....a lot of powerheads don't even have them
Do you have tank lids?

lids can prevent some air exchange from happening. Most saltwater tanks have no glass lids and plenty of surface aggitiation by the powerheads to allow for good O2 exchange. Your tank will get its oxygen from the surface of the water. so if you increase the surface area of the water by making it wavy that's more surafce area to exchange in oxygen and out with CO2
