Are these even worth acclimating? I just recieved a shipment and neither one is moving. Obvious discoloration and horrible smell coming from their bags. I've heard about stress but this seems alittle passed that. Please help

One thing for sure it want hurt them any more to try acclimating them. I would hate to pitch them in the trash and have one jump out!

Look like they are pretty much goners to me. You could try dripping new water in to see if that will help them.
Are they even breathing? Look dead to me.

You better follow the rules from where ever you ordered them, if they have a return policy.

Looks that way to me ... if so they cannot handle stress well and that ups your trouble level.

yeah its two mandarins... Neither one looks as if they are breathing... the one of the left looks worst off...gills are completely open as with the mouth... the other still looks somewhat intacked but doesn't look like itll make it either...

i'd say they look pretty well dead. before you go and reorder though, are these going in your 30 gallon?

Great question...

yes they were going into my 30 gallon... I've had the tank for over a year... I would'nt have minded buying pods on a regular basis aswell as I bought 2 bags of pods with the mandarins. Being in my 30 gallon wouldn't have been an issue. Either way they are getting sent back... I gave them alittle more than 2 hours to snap out of it. Neither one budged. Thanks anyways

that's great :)
just so you know, the reason i'm asking (and 1journeyman was thinking the same thing i'll bet) is that one mandarin will most likely starve in a 30 gallon. 2 most definitely will. your 2 bags of pods would have been eaten in about 3 days if not sooner. A fuge will give the pods a breeding ground, but still, a 30 gallon won't have enough rock for the mandarins to eat off of for a very long time.
the warranty will cover the shipping death, but you're money won't be reimbursed months down the line when they die. just my $.02

lol well now for alittle of my 2 cents... You seemed to run alittle off topic with your questions.... I was not asking for your opinion on the matter of my tank size. Now as for "will most likely starve in a 30 gallon." When you look at that its obviously not a fact. I've done my research and there are stories of mandarins thriving in nanos for years and dying in larger 100 gallons+. If I seem to be coming off alittle strong thats because I am. I simply asked if they looked like they would possibly survive. As for "
no answer yet either..." Makes me feel like your trying to attack me. Rather unnecessary. Why I didn't answer is because I was busy trying to figure out a solution.
