Help Red Slime and Algae Problems

Hey,
So THis morning I left for work and my sand was clean and when I come home THe sand was covered in algae and some red slime. I bought a slime removal kit and I was wondering if their was such thing as an algae removal kit also.
I have a 24g aquapod 2 clows 1 cleaner I only feed my clowns Frozen brine every 3 days So Im trying to open my feeding lid and have a stand up fan blowing in since heat is probably part of the problem.

Overly excessive heat can be a factor but your phosferous (sp) is most likly too high. Could be from your water source. Try getting some phosguard it will help alot. The red slime is probably cyano bacteria and could be reduced by increasing flow.
