Hi Vogel,
How long has the tank been up? Specifically how long since the water has been in?
What has your feed schedule been?
Are there other SH in the tank?

if the trates were up to 10-20 shouldnt kill them, i dont think, if the trites were high then it probably hurt the gills and acts as a poison, i start putting air in mine and they are reacting great to it, not playing in the bubbles just breathing better, plus it helps with the gas exchange, now with dwarfs i still read no micro bubbles but the bigger one cand handle air stone and wands
