Now that I've connected my sump/refugium and upgraded my lighting, my water temp continues to rise, it hit 86 today and it was overcast. (The sump is in my garage where the temp is 80-85).
The tank is 150g and I have another 70g or so in the sump.
I was initially looking at a 1/3HP or 1/2 HP in line chiller, but I would love not to have another pump in the sump. Anyone have experience with the drop in 1/3 HP chillers? I'm thinking that one less pump would be less energy and less added heat to the system.
Is 1/3 HP enough? It is good for up to 360g but I want to oversize it without going nuts.
Thanks
