Help Skimmer Going Nuts!!!

I used red-slime remover tonight and my skimmer is going crazy. I expected it to run a little faster, but I've never seen anything like this before. I have a overflow hose on my collection cup draining into a bucket so that's not my concern. I'm wondering if I should close the air valve to control it more, or let it continue to run wild.
Anyone ever experience this before?? If so how long should I expect it to run this way??

It could last a couple of days; anytime you add things like that or stress coat the skimmer will foam excessively. It might last up to a week or so.

I used red slime remover about a year ago and my skimmer went NUTS too. Lasted about 3 days or so.

I've added all sorts of stuff to my tank and my skimmer STILL doesn't pull much more than brown discoloration from the tank, and I had a knowledgeable person adjust it for me. My tank is clean but it can't be THAT clean!
