Help to Identify this fish.

It was listed as a spotted grouper. It changes patterns with its mood.

The only one that looks close in my book is a Scamp or a Black Grouper. I don't know for sure.

Hopefully not a VERy large guy that will get up to 13 feet long. Try searching on "Mycteroperca", but some groupers will hold at 10 inches. Some will swallow your whole arm and drag you to your death.

Sammystingray, I have shot groupers like that with spearguns. I was actually teaching an underwater hunter class one time where a student shot at a 4 foot grouper, and the

bounced off his head. True story, I saw it happen.
Someone else has suggested a scamp as well. I have another grouper of similar size, a Honeycomb grouper, that has eyes about half the size as the one pictured above. I think the one I posted pics of is a deep water grouper. Big eyes, dark bland pigment and like to hide. He does not enjoy the aquarium lights.

Yes, 18 inch Ruf wheels. Purchased from 'Up On 3 Racing' www.upon3racing.com for $2650 for all four. Never seen them on another 996.
Car has been sold and is in San Fran now.
