help, trouble with tang

I recently bought a kole tang and put it into quaretine, it has been there for 2 weeks and has been eating great. I noticed this evening it stopped eating and has a thin white coating on its body. Any info on what this might be? And what I should do?

No way of knowing for sure at this point. What is your QT set up? Where you doing hyposalinity in the QT? Up until this, did the fish have good color, fins in tact? Swimming/behaving normally? Was the abdomon distented, or was the fish fattening up? What were you feeding him?

my quarentine tank consists of a 20 long tank with 2 bio-wheel 125 and a heater, I keep it cycled at all times. I do have a couple rocks and pvc pipe in it for hiding. Up to this point, it was eating good, I was feeding it, seaweed salad a nd red marine algae (dried) attached to a rock, which it ate, and spirulina flakes and brine shrimp. I was soaking the food in garlic and zoe. I didn't start doing the soaks until a week after I got the Kole.
I just started to begin the hypo, when I noticed to Kole looking pale and have the white film on its body. The fish also seemed to be breathing heavy, but its stomach didn't look distended for protruding.
