Help w/Setup please

Ok, I recently did two things to my 90gal setup.
I added a Bullet 1 protein skimmer and upgrade my lighting to 3 VHO (Super Actinic/Actinic/Daylight) Ice Cap.
I put the skimmer in my sump (barely fits), because they claim the gate valve needs to be "Above" water level. The noise from the water output sounds like niagra falls.
Can I move the skimmer into the basement?
The pump which drives the skimmer is a SEN 900, could I drill through the floor, have the SEN pump down into another "basement" sump, put the skimmer in that sump, then have a return pump to the sump?
Anyone have any ideas??

Forgot to add this:
My tank has 130lbs live rock. 1 powerhead/wavemaker. Wet/Dry filter and lg Eheim filter.
I have 18 assorted corals and 4 fish.

You can move the skimmer to the basement, but you want to gravity feed the basement sump then pump it back to the main tank to prevent overflowing the basement sump and draining the main tank.
