help w/troubled perc clown in reef tank

Hey guys, moving this post from reef tanks
my false perc clown has not seemed well for the past couple of days. He has not eaten in 3 or 4 days. He just hangs out in his corner of the tank barely swimming. As of now I can detect no real problems (other than afore mentioned). He isn't breathing abnormally, and no spots or any indications of disease, but I am sure something is wrong. Nothing new added to stress him and water levels are steady trates 0 trites 0 amonia 0. I can't figure out what is wrong I have an empty 10 gal that I could transfer him to if I needed to, but I am not sure what good that would do. All other fish are looking well and no problems. I have had him in the tank for about a month and I've got powerheads up top and a return line from a mag 1200, I think the top is circulating enough. The temp is around 78 degrees. I feed a mix, I put some seaweed on a clip and then I mix some brine shrimp w/a formula one frozen food mix, which he was eating at first. the other fish devour all of the food, before it hits the water. The clown is flying solo. I was thinking about adding a buddy, but my lfs is out of percs for the time being, so I am stuck until they get a new shipment, just don't want that to be too little too late. Should I move him to the 10 gal. and if so how should I set up any suggestions, what I could do to help him through?
thanks sean

I wouldn't add another perc. They would likely fight, unless you have a large tank. You might try offering it some fresh seafood. Try spot feeding it using a turkey baster.
What type of tank do you have? Clownfish in nature basically hang out in an anemone. Clowns in a reef tank, if they don't have an anemone, will usually hang out in a substitute host if they can find one---like a coral. Persoanally, I believe that clownfish are happier and do better in captivity if they can establish a symbiont relationship with a host.
What other fish do you have in the tank?
