I drip acclimated my new rose bubble tip anemone for 2 hours yesterday evening. He was full and looking fine last night and this morning.
I tried to spot feed him a piece of cockle (wasn't interested) and krill about 30-45 minutes ago.
I just noticed that his body is all shrunken in and this thing is coming out from his tentacles. I'll admit I'm a 100% newbie when it comes to anemones. Is this his mouth coming out to eat the krill??

Now the thing I circled in picture 1 is "gone", but he is still shriveled up. He still has the krill in his tentacles which makes me think this is all a part of eating, but can someone please reassure me. :nervous:

Absolutely! Thanks! :D
I took the puffer to AquaTouch on Friday for store credit. They didn't offer much considering how valuable he was to me, but at least they'll take good care of him until he has a new home.
I've got my 10 set up with the cc star and 2 snails for now. The star is back to his old self now that the puffer isn't there to nip at him.

I just got a rose bubble tip yesterday and i put him in a spot that i knew had adequate water flow he moved an inch or two but he seemed very happy. that night he moved and wehn i woke up in the morning he was behind a rock out of sight and on the glass.. They usually move to a better place or so i am told but yesterday his tentacles looked fuller and today now that he moved some are shrivvled and his "mouth/ass" was popping out liek the above picture

Yeah. After 48 hours I've realized that mine does that a few times a day.
Mine also moved, but not far from where I had originally placed him. He went about 4-5" around to the other side of the rock I had him against.
