HELP !! which way is up???

Just bought this coral, in the shop his little tentacles were out and looked great... Ofcourse when he got home he was all closed up... Problem is, I dont know which way is UP! can anyone help???

Plates like the sand bed, I would move it before it shimmies its way off that rock
