HELP! with a loud pump

I just purchased and installed a new Panline pump for my tank, replacing an older Little Giant. The pump itself is very quiet, HOWEVER, it is vibrating my sump so badly that the roaring noise is horrible!
I have the entire setup sitting on 3/4-inch foam soundproofing panels and nothing is actually touching the cabinet itself.
Any suggestions? The tank is sitting in my living room and I can't stand the noise.
I have the pump connected to the sump with a union valve and probably a total of 6 inches of PVC.

Try cutting the PVC and reconnecting it using some vinyl tubing. Just cut out a 2" section of the PVC, slip over the vinyl tubing and secure it with hose clamps..You could also replace the PVC with Spa flex.

I encountered that same problem a few years ago. The solution for me was to add a short run of vinyl hose between the sump and pump. This absorbed alot of the pump's vibrations rather than transfering them to the sump. Or as Golfish suggested, Spa Flex PVC would also work well.

Sounds good. So, where does one get Spa Flex? I just called the local Home Depot and they tell me they've never heard of it!!!

Some of the HDs near me carry it as well as Lowe's. But I purchased mine from an on-line plumbing supplier.

HD, Lowes, pool supply, spa dealers...its pretty common stuff.
