What do you guys think of this filter for a 55 gallon. Does the bio ball area look to small? DIMENSIONS ARE 20"L X 8"W X 22" H. It's on ---- right now. What do you think its worth? It says it's a AQUATIC LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM but I've never seen one like this. Anyone know where other than ---- I can find one?

Although it looks good, you are right, there isn't much bio area there. And the skimmer looks VERY SMALL. The reaction chamber can't be more than 12 inches tall and maybe 3inches in diameter. Not much contact time in a reaction chamber that small. That is the problem with these "combo units".The individual components are less than ideal.I think I would pass on it.

HI on your 55 gal for a skimmer a EV-90 works very well and is much bigger than the one in your pic that almost looks like a redesign of a Seaclone (junk) you could go with a 15gal tank as sump put your skimmer in put in dividers setup like a expensive sump and come out with a well sump and filteration system. Just a thought for you. Missy
