Help with Hairy mushrooms

For some reason they have been declining in health since I got them.
Some of them are brownish in color.
they have gotten smaller however some have split.
They are located halfway up the tank in moderate water flow.
I have 3 55 watt pcs.
One actinic two white.
Water quality is great and always has been, please do not ask what great is because you should know.
Please help!!!!

Also they have fallen down a couple times could this be the prob.
I am trying to get the cualerpa to grow around it to block some current there really isn't a good place to put it other than it is. The colony rock perfectly fits where it is.

Are your mushrooms being directly exposed to the PCs? I have found some corals especially shrooms and certain LPS, do not cope well directly under PCs. Try moving them to a shady spot if this is the case and see what happens. HTH

Hey,
My hairy mushrooms are on the very bottom of my tank and are doing well. I do dose with DT's every three days and they are out of direct current. Don't know if that helps you...

I have mushrooms too. They are in a light current, and on the bottom of a 29 gall tank, in direct exposure to 200 Watts of 50/50 10 hours a day. Mine have not split yet (I'm hoping). I've heard that they split when happy. I've also heard that when a particular rock is too crowded with mushrooms, some will fall off, presumably hoping the current will take them to a more private place where they can reattach.
Were they some other color besides brown? Did they lose their zooanth.?
Assuming they did not lose their zooanth., in my inexperience, your mushrooms don't sound like they are in peril.
