Help with Hammer

Hello, I've had a nice 6 -head branching hammer coral for about 2 weeks. It is really nice. Today I read that you can frag these corals by breaking off twigs. So I tried it and i broke it in half and all the heads closed up and thiers little bubble like things on the heads. It looks dead. Will my hammer coral be ok?

It should be fine if you just broke it off the stick part is not alive so if that is what you broke it should be fine it is probably just stressed a little from being picked up and broke apart Mine was broken in half and both halves are thriving. Good luck.
