Help With Huma-Huma

Whats up with him? Hes just floating around. Been like this for over a week. Water params are good. However I did go out of town and my heater broke. Temp was like 61 so over a days time I slowly raised it back to 80. Could this have stressed him? Even after a week of warm temps and good water quality? He is in a QT now what else sould I do?

What do you mean "floating around"? Does he swim? Eat? What exactly is going on with the fish?

All the sudden the last few days he has been floating on his side like he is dying but he is not dead yet. Not swimming or eating. He is slowly dying. Last thing that happened is the water was extremly cold when I got home because the heater broke. I was out of town and it was like this for 4 days. Could the cold water at the time taken a toll on him? Even if I gradualy raised it back? There is a SFE in the tank and he is fine. The huma is breathing heavy. He has been like this for a few days but today its worst. He is just lying at the bottom slowly going.

Yes, the cold has likely done the damage. Once a fish is floating round, there really isn't too much you can do. Expect him to die.

So do you know exactly what the cold has done? Right now he is just lyng on his side at the bottom. But weird he has been this way all week and has not died yet. Dang man this makes me mad. I cant rely on anyone to watch my tanks when I leave.
