help with light support

i have a 20 gallon long with a twenty gallon normal size tank hood it sags a little and does seem to have a long lifespan, any ideas for a way to support it? pictures if requested

You shouldn't have a hood at all on a saltwater tank. The saltwater is heavier than fresh and has less oxygen so you need it open and the top water really agitated, make it look like its boiling. Either hang your lights or put legs on it or a wood blocks to raise it high enough off the tank.

Wood is fine, but I'd make sure it was sealed with some type of poly or latex paint, to prevent wood from being eaten.
