I prefer the t5 over the t6. T6s are not as common and they are not as bright... With a good t5 setup, you should be able to keep almost anything.
I seen a T5HO setup by odyessa for like 100 or something like that can't remember right now but would it be worth it.
Honestly, stay away from the cheap stuff like Odysea and Catalina. You get what you pay for and lighting is not something you want to skimp on.
If you're on a budget then the Nova Extreme PRO, and the TEK fixtures are pretty good.

depending on how deep ur tank is. u should be able to keep wat ever u want with t5(individually reflected)..keep in mind t5 loose their intensity after 24"..

I haven't heard this... Not that I doubt you though. Do you have an information backing this up?

There's PAR tests on --. Not that T5 can't get any light down to a depth of 24", it just seems to drop off quicker after that.
That being said I have seen deeper tanks (30" or so) lit with only T5ho that had SPS growing at the bottom. If you're overdriving the bulbs or using an ATI fixture then I wouldn't be too concerned.

Ok, so my tank is appx 15" deep and I am looking into the 48" 6 bulb Nova Extreme PRO. would I pretty much be able to keep anything that I want in the tank?
