help with lights

I am looking at buying some PC lighting on ----. I am going to buy the 4x65 watt light set up. It says I can pick the bulbs.
Actinic Blue 10k white
Half Blue and half white
Which lights would be better for a tank with fish and a few corals?
This is a 55 gallon tank, it is 12 wide, do I need to get a glass canopy also?
The light is 8.5 inches wide, when I feed the fish do I need to pick up the light and the canopy, or is a canopy not needed, or should I buy the legs and use those? Will I have to worry about the light heating the water to high. My tank is in a basement that stays cool, so I would not think this would be a problem.
It says there are two cords, so you can add a timer for dusk and dawn effects. Do you leave two of the lights on 24 hours, and the others for just part of the day.
The price is 155 + 20 shipping. Does this sound reasonable.
Thanks for the help.

Hey,
Price is about right. Sounds like the JBJ's I have. I use the leg extensions. (Had to buy those separately.) I don't cover my tank.
You can keep a wide variety of corals under those lights, but not the real light hogs such as clams.
I'd go with two white and two blue actinics. My blues come on an hour before the whites and stay on an hour after. Mine also has an internal fan to keep things cool.
HTH,
