I just got some live clams for my burrfish puffer. I split one in half, rinsed it, and put it on the live rock. My burrfish hasnt even notice it...any suggestions?
I heard the clams will stay alive for a few days. Is that even if you shuck it and rip it apart(or only if you leave them closed)?

No I believe they only stay alive if you leave them closed. If you split them open, they're pretty much dead. Have you tried holding the open clam in front of the fish, just so it can see it?

yeah, but he was pretty scared...half of the clam is the same size as him
he probably never ate one in the wild?
