Help with metal halide/PC options

I'm about to take the salt water plunge. I plan to set up a 90g reef. Would like to plan for a wide variety of corals. Current thinking is for MH/PC combo. What are your thoughts about MH watts vs PC watts. For example: 2x175w MH plus 2x96w PC or 2x250w MH plus 2x30wPC. Both of these examples have nearly the same total watts.
What are the pros/cons of HQI MH bulds? The Aquaspacelight/PC combo ihcludes HQI bulbs.
Recommendations about brands or anything else will be appreciated.

hi and welcome to board i have a 90 reef also i setup and have been reseaching my lights for a week i decided on 2/250 mh bulbs and 2pc atinic ( i think 90gal is to deep for 175) i decided pc atinic beacuse i have a pc now i am coverting if u have a fat wallet buy a setup if not there are alot of dyi info here i have some info too if u are going this rout let me know i will post more info
