I bought a carpet anemone on sunday. now (tuesday night) it does not look very healthy. when i got the anemone it looked healthy and happy. it was loose in a 15 gallon tank with power compact lights. when i brought it home it seemed fine when it was in the tank. It opened right up and looked great. Monday night when i came home from work it was all deflated and its mouth was open. today (tuesday) when i got home it was deflated again and its mouth was inverted. i picked it up out of the live sand bed and put it in the rock work.
my questions are what are wrong with the anemone?
do they sleep and deflate when the lights are out?
Why is its mouth always open at night?
does live sand affect them?
my tank is 29 gallons with a 15 gallon sump been up and running 11 months now
150 hqi with 130 watts of pc actinic
plenty of live rock and live sand
parameters are good
