How big is you tank? CLOWN TANG, is by far one of the mosre difficult tangs to take care of and require ALOT of swimming space, He could be very frustrated and just repeating a frustrated swimming motion.. Get that salinity UP.. Do yo have inverts and corals? keep your S.G. with fish only to 1.023-1.024. How did you acclimate him?..

it is a75gal tank live rock and sand. i will def get the selinity up to that. thats not a problem. i acclimated him with the drip method as shown on swf.com.

Well... 75Gal is not a big enough tank for a clown Tang. That might be your problem. If not now it will definitely be a problem later as the fish grows larger.

Dear hobbyist, I presently have a Clown Tang which was in my 75 gallon aquarium . Since then I put it in a 150 . When I brought my CT, it was only 2.5", now its 6" . This type of tang grows pretty quickly, eats sea weed ,mysis shrimp , Hilkari pellets ,spiralina , and brine shrimp . They're aggressive and they need rich oxygenated saltwater . As the CT matures, you'll enjoy its rich coloration . Also , when the CT gets upset ,its head will darken ,while the rest of its body remains the same color . Have fun !

hey guys my ct is starting to move around the tank ALOT more now. i think he needed to get comfortable in his new home. when i feed my fish he is the only one that does not eat. he picks all day long on my coral but will not eat the flake food. i am in the process of hatching some brine shrimp. lets see if he eats that. any ideas on how to get him to eat the flake food like everyone else or will he never eat it? thanks guys i appreciate the info.
