Ok problem is our hawkfish is listless. Just sits on the bottom or on some rockwork and does not budge. Does not eat, or react to anything in the tank. He was quite an active memeber of the tank up until about 3 weeks ago. I noticed then that his appatite had dropped off and I began checking things. I have found no significant reason for him to be acting this way and none of my other fish in the tank are acting wierd at all.
the tank consists of
37 gal reef tank with about 25 lbs lr and 4-5" ls
360watts of light in PC and MH
1 Lawnmower Blenny
1 True percula clown
3 Green Chromis
1 Pygmy Angel
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 CBS
1 Peppermint Shrimp
the usual mishmash of blueleg hermits and turbos
1 curlique anenome
Nitrate has been steady recently at about 20-30 ppm, I know its high I'm getting more cleanup crew to help scavenge more and will be investing in a better skimmer.
Nitrite - 0ppm
PH 8.4
Salinity is right on target on the test gauge.
Any thoughts here? I was thinking originally it was a parsitic infection, but that should have killed him off weeks ago. I am at a loss and I love the little guy dont want to loose him.
Thanks
Rob
