Help with my skimmer...

Just replaced old skimmer 3 days ago with a aquac urchin skimmer. It is producing tons of bubbles and foam in the skimmer but none of the bubble are turning to "gunk". They are just beautiful white bubbles and foam. What am I doing wrong? It should have kicked in by now ( making gunk!) ANy ideas? My tank is not that clean.....

3 days is not enough breakin time. Give it a week.

I have had one of these I used for about 3 weeks while waiting on another skimmer. It take a little time to kick in. Did you buy it new or used. And did you clean it before use. If so what did you use. Vinegar? water? If it was new it will take a little bit longer than if was used previously from my experience.
