Help with new lighting on 60" tank

I have a 120gal tank that is 60" across. I know the Orbit makes a 60" power compact but do I really need to spend that much money just to get enough watts for soft corals and anemones. I can't ever find anything used in this size. I am not an electrician, could I retro fit my current flourescent lights with VHO without a worry.
I would really like to get past my fish only tank.

With the anenome you need some pretty decent lighting. A lot of people build their own retrofits from scratch, also some people buy premaid ones off of the famous auction site. I believe its not that hard to make one. JFDJason made his own retro for his MH so it shouldnt be too complicated. Just make sure the ballest and stuff can handle the lighting and you should be good.
