Hi, I tried this on another tread in a different section maybe I can get some help here
I finally decided on the tank ( a 72 bow front ). ( which I need help finding a good place to get one with a stand /canopy so if you know of a place online let me know!)
Anyway, After searching for recommended equipment for this size of tank I have came up with the following list of equipment and prices on websites ( I havent researched hard for cheaper prices because I am not 100% sure these are what I need).
What I need to know from the list is if there is other equipment that you think is better for the price or cheaper and just as good. Some of this stuff might have been "hyped up" to make a better sale but isnt much better than something cheaper. If you have any experience with any of the equipment let me know I can build some equpiment if it will be significantly cheaper. (Even wiring because my family is full of electricians )
Lighting ficture: PFO PolypLight Lighting Fixture 4x110W VHO) (I want to be able to keep zoos, mushroom coral, Yellow Polyps, Elegant Coral, Frogspawn , and/or leather but I can change to others if the lighting wont be enough) $350
Liting Retrofit Kit: IceCap 48 inch VHO Retrofit Kit - 4 Lamps $314
Protein Skimmer: Precision Marine ES100 Venturi Protein Skimmer $200
Overflow Box: CPR CS90 Overflow Box $87
Sump Berlin Sump BS-1, 23 inch x 12 inch x 14 inch $135
Sump Return Pump Danner Mag-Drive Supreme 7 700 GPH Water Pump $55
Filter ( I want a quiet one and I am not sure this is the "quietest" Eheim Pro External Canister Filter 2224 160
Water Movement/ Wavemaker Tunze Single Controller 7091 55
Heater Pro-Heat 350W Titanium Heater 30
thermometer JBJ Digi-Temp 10
Hydrometer Captive Purity Refractometer with Calibration Dial 90
Test Kit Red Sea Reef Lab Test Kit 25
RO/DI unit Captive Purity 75 GPD Deluxe RO Filter System - Clear Canisters 150
Is there anything else I need? these prices seem high but they might not be (I just started "shopping")
Thanks for the help. If needed my email is jkettell84 at hotmail dot com
