help with powder blue tang

we just bought the powder blue tang and we just notice there are like white clear color parasite,only about 5 or 6 right now, they are near his eyes and above his mouth. if about triple the size of the 0.7 mechanical pencil head and he keep scratching near that area with the rock a lots. what should i do?, and what type of medication should i use.

it doesn't look like salt sprinkle on his body, just near his eye and mouth is white (not milk color) clear color, and is alot bigger than iches.

(is look alike leech), but very very small and clear white color, don't know what it is, and the fish keep scratching on the rock, and sand.

it move around so, doesn't look like a slime. thanks, for the help, i will check up tomorrow.

and i don't have scanner, or digital camera so can't put it up on net.

If don't have any yet.I would suggest a cleaner shrimp or two.To help out down the raod.

u don't need a digital camera or scanner to get pics on the net...just use any old camera and get the film devloped on to a disk. all of my pics are on my photo album using a regular 35mm camera...although the tank pics are too dark, they all come out fine. My digital camera comes in on Monday and I can't wait! Good luck with the PB...and if u don't have a cleaner shrimp in their...i suggest getting one asap! The tweezer idea sounds tough!!

Fairieslayer where did you get your powder blue in Ft. Collins? I was jsut wondering cause im from Greeley and often go to Ft.C and get fish at Denizens of the Deep. Any other good SW fish stores up there? Also are you a student at CSU? Just wondering!

ohh there is 2 fish store in fort collins denizen and the D&G pet store (this store is great) i get most of my fish from D&G pet store. no, i just move to colorado about 2 months ago :p

It maybe stupid to post this, but with LR, I never see Ich in my tank. Had a clown tang for 2 + years (vanished) also a King/passer, and no ich. If you get a stressed fish, you can still get ich tho.

I doubt that since there are so many microfiltering/feeding organisms on/in it, but, I could be wrong. Controlling the parasite in its free swimming stage would surely be effected by these filter feeders.
