Help with reducing size of pic.

How do you reduce the size of a picture without reducing the quality of the picture? I have try resizing the picture but it also reduce the pixels too as you can see here.

First thing I would do is trim out a smaller section around the fish.....make the fish take up most of the pic, and then reduce it to the size needed.
You have a lot of area around the fish, so trim out a smaller section first thing, and then adjust the rest....just my advice.

Also see if you have the ability to adjust the dpi , 72 dpi is all you need for posting. Be careful if you want to print it more is needed.

What OS (operating system)? For a free alternative, MS photo editor will allow you to resize a photo and keep the aspect ratio. Then you can save using 100% quality.
