help with salinity test

I just set my 10 gallon tank up today. I am getting a very low salinity test result of 1.008. Is it because I just set the tank up today or should I add more salt? I used Instant Ocean to set it up. I got the box for the 10 gallon tank and I added all of it to my tank like it said. THANK YOU:help:

I would get some more salt. My experience with instant ocean is that once it is poured in and mixed up, the salinity will not change that much, so I do not think yours is going to raise any. But if you do let it sit and have a heater on it, salinity will raise do to evaporation, but when you add more water it will lower again.
