help with skimmer

i just bought a prizm skimmer and the collection cup fills up really quick. is that normal or am i doing something wrong? it filled up in 5 min. and there are lots or air bubbles all over the water? can any one help me? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Turn down your air. Do you have any chemicals in your water.. ie. stress coat? Do you have Carbon in your tank?

Use sponge under the water return outlets so it doesn't drop directly into the water. That should take care of the bubbles and it also cuts down the noise. As for the cup filling up to fast, turn down the air as wamp has mentioned. Your pump my be pumping too fast. I have the Berlin Turbo Classic and it comes with a pump that you could reduce the pressure. I'm not sure if your pump does that or not, if so reduce it a little or get a less powerful pump.
