Help with Skimmer

Ok so I had my Coralife skimmer running great... Well it came time to clean it, so i turned it off. Soon as i plugged it up bubbles flooded into the tank. I figured maybe it just needed to break back in, well its been two days and its still flooding my tank. Anyone have any siggestions other than buying a new skimmer (kinda strapped for cash). I know all of this cant be good for the fish.

try adjusting the flow rate as well as the air intake with a gang valve.
Fine tuning that protein skimmer usually helps. If you can, use your bubble trap.

these skimmers are notorious for micro bubble issues, mine is no different. I run mine in my sump, and I added another piece of floss to my bubble diffuser, which seemed to hel, but it needs to be replaced often or it causes back pressur, and causes the skimmer to overflow (another problem with these)
