Help with sump / bubble trap

ok here is a pic of my sump

i want to turn the middle section into a fuge
i am having a ton of bubbles come into the sump from the supply line, and it over flows with a ton of micro bubbles into the middle section.
I already plan on putting a baffle just to the left of the sponge to keep the sand away from it(what you see is just a grate, i would put something in much taller too). but if i only put that in i would have a ton of bubbles in the fuge. some people have told me it would be fine, but i'd rather not have any live rock, cheato, or anything else i chose to put in there to be covered with bubbles. so what can i do to help keep the bubbles from getting to the middle section?

I had that problem in the past, so I put one of those micron filter socks on my inlet. Problem solved, but you do have to clean it occasionally. However, I also found cleaning it was a lot better than having all that crap stand and decay in my refuge.
